It was joyful moment last week when unarguably king of Fuji music in Nigeria, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, returned from his medical vacation from Canada.
At the airport, where the ‘big eagle’ first landed in Nigeria, there were fans and associates of the musician patently waiting for his arrival.
His new ‘beast’ was even stationed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to usher him to his home.
When the singer, also known as K1 De Ultimate appeared around 5pm with a radiant look in his jeans pant and T-shirt, there was a wild jubilation at the airport, which attracted onlookers.
His aides, who had put his Bentley with a customized plate number ‘FUJI MII’ at the arrival hall, took him away after the usual pleasantries.
But before leaving, K1 thanked his numerous fans for the honour and prayers offered to him during his two-week trip to Canada.
He explained that the trip was necessary for him at that time because of his health.
“It is normal to see to one’s health. If you don’t service your car, it’s bound to break down some day, so that is why I had to go to the hospital in Canada to see to my health challenge.
“But now I know I’m fit as fiddle and I’m ready to hit the stage again to do what I know how to do best-music,” the musician told his fans on his arrival.
