Last weekend would a long remain memorable to one of the oldest Fuji artistes around, Alhaji Idris Adisa, popularly known as ‘Love Idris’.
This is because on Sunday, May 21, 2017, some of his friends, fans, family members and other well-wishers trooped out to grace his 50th birthday celebration in Lagos.
The event took place at the upscale watering hole, Tem-D Events Centre, off Akilo, Ogba Road, Lagos.
Several Fuji stars were in attendance to honour one of their own. The roll call was long from politicians, society big wigs and others and it was one gathering many had expected, going by the pedigree of Love Idris in the Fuji music industry.
Love Idris stole the limelight in the early 90s with his hit tune ‘Penicure’ and has over 37 years of experience on the stage, and he is still very much active.
For the staunch lovers of the genre of music, they will remember Love Idris’ hot albums like ‘Solution’, ‘Fuji ‘Toasting’ and ‘Plenty Sorry’, to mention a few.
Despite the success he has attained over the years, this Agege, Lagos-based Fuji act has remained humble and loyal to his fans and supporters.
At the 50th birthday celebration, Love Idris used the occasion to release his newest album, entitled ‘Advice’, released under Sodom Music, in conjunction with Easy Records.
