Buhari Hands Over To Osinbajo

President Muhammadu Buhari has commenced a 5-day vacation from today, Friday, February 5, to Wednesday, February 10, 2016.

Due to this, the President has handed over his powers to the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

Osinbajo will perform the functions of the President during the duration of the vacation, a statement issued in Abuja on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said.

This, according to the statement, is in “compliance with Section 145 (1) of the Nigerian Constitution” and the President has “dispatched a formal notice of his vacation to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House of Representatives.”
