A statement by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has debunked reports that officials of the Department of State Security, DSS, were expelled from the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
However, Adesina admitted in the press statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday that there is a plan to reorganize security personnel from various services working in the Presidential Villa.
He noted that this “exercise does not translate to the expulsion of DSS personnel from the premises in any way.”
According to Adesina, “The changes being made are routine adjustments which are not unexpected in any dynamic environment from time to time.”
He urged members of the public to disregard the rumour.
