An early morning fire gutted the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, in Abuja on Wednesday. The inferno reportedly started some minutes past 9am.
The fire started at the Chief Accountant office, Aproko247 learnt.
Some properties were destroyed in the incident, though men of the fire services have put off the inferno as at the time of filing in this report.
Office of the president of the Federation was also affected by the mysterious fire.
In recent weeks, the NFF has been engulfed in crisis, which resulted into the impeachment of the Federation boss, Aminu Maigari.
Later, he was said to have tendered his resignation letter, but the Sports Minister order him last Friday to resume office on Monday, which he adhered to. On his resumption, both Maigari and the acting president of NFF, Mike Umeh, shared the same office.
