One Ustaz Yunus, a journalist with a Kaduna-based weekly magazine, New Democrat, has been assassinated by some unknown hoodlums.
Yunus was the Managing Director of the newspaper.
It was learnt that the deceased was shot dead on Friday evening by the gunmen. The newspaper is owned by Senator Ahmed Aruwa, a two-term Nigerian Senator from 1999 to 2007.
The assassins invaded the home of Yunus, located at Ungwan Dosa, near the popular Dialogue Computers, in Kaduna, and killed him. He will be buried on Saturday, according to Islamic rites.
As at the time of publishing this report, we could not confirm why he was killed.
