Lagos, Ogun, Rivers Get New Commissioners

The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has directed the posting of new Commissioners of Police to some police commands in the country.

A statement issued in Abuja on Thursday by Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, disclosed that this is in line with the IGP’s determination “to inject fresh ideas in the security architecture in Lagos, ‎Rivers, ‎Ogun States and some other Force Headquarters Formations.”

According to him, the police chief has ordered postings of new Commissioners of Police as stated below;

  1. CP Ajani Fatai Owoseni to Lagos State Command
  2. CP Chris Ezike to Rivers State Command
  3. CP Abdulmajid Ali to Ogun State Command
  4. CP Dan Bature to Intelligence FCIID FHQ, Abuja
  5. CP Valentine U. Ntomchukwu to Admin Dept Of Logistics & Supply, FHQ, Abuja
  6. CP Hyelasinda Kimo Musa to Fed. Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FCIID FHQ, Abuja
  7. CP Kayode C. Aderanti to Admin, Dept Of Operations, FHQ, Abuja
  8. CP E. J. Ibine to Port Authority Eastern Command
  9. CP Ogbusua Aja Oleh to Provost, FHQ, Abuja.

The statement concluded that, “It is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations.”
