There are indications that the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Osita Chidoka, may eventually replace former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, who was removed from the cabinet of President Goodluck Jonathan after she was accused of corruption.
On Thursday, President Jonathan sent Chidoka’s name to the Senate for confirmation as Minister. He is from Abia State, same as Oduah.
Also sent to the Senate for confirmation is Suleiman Abubakar, a lecturer with the University of Abuja. Abubakar is from Kwara State and he is being touted to replace his kinsman, Malam Bolaji Abdulahi, who was removed as Minister of Sports by Jonathan recently.
The President sworn-in four new Ministers on Wednesday in Abuja.
Under Chidoka’s reign, the FRSC has recorded several successes, although few of his policies were kicked against, especially the new numberplate.
