A football viewing centre in Damaturu, Yobe State capital, on Tuesday evening, was attacked by some bombers. The incident occurred few minutes after the kick-off of the Brazil vs Mexico match in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
It was learnt that several people were killed in the blast and many others badly injured.
The bomb attack, it was further learnt, happened at a viewing centre very popular in the area. Those who were injured in the explosion were rushed to the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital in Damaturu.
