EFCC Discovers N2.5b In Stella Oduah’s Maid’s Account

According to reports, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has uncovered the sum of N2.5 billion deposited in a bank account opened in the name of a housemaid to former Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah.

Oduah is now a Senator representing Anambra State at the National Assembly.

According to The Nation, the account was opened and operated by the lawmaker without the knowledge of her maid.

Also, SaharaReporters quoted a source to have said that, “Senator Oduah apparently opened the account with her housemaid’s name, image, and details without the housemaid knowing about it.”

She is said to be the sole signatory to the account.

“As of last week, the account was still active and contained over N2.5 billion,” the online platform reports.

However, the account has reportedly been frozen by the EFCC.
