Nigeria Signs Maritime Policing Deal With E/Guinea

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed a deal with Equatorial Guinea on the establishment of a combined Maritime Policing and Security Patrol Committee between Nigeria and the Central African country.

The pact was sealed on Tuesday in Malabo between Buhari and his Equatorial Guinean counterpart, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

Shortly after the historic occasion, President Buhari addressed a press conference on the establishment of the combined committee.

The President expressed delight in it and said both governments would work together to ensure it becomes a huge success.

Buhari arrived Malabo on Monday on a 2-day visit to the country to discuss issues bordering on security.
