Members of the Benue Prospective Employees Forum, BPEF, and the Benue Democratic Youths Ambassadors for Change Initiatives, BDYACI, are presently on the streets of Makurdi, the Benue State capital, demanding for the return of funds allegedly embezzled by the immediate past governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam.
The demonstrators carried placards conveying various messages.
Aproko247 gathered that the protesters are aggrieved because the state has been struggling lately to meet its major obligations.
The accused the former governor of plunging Benue State into the present situation because of the way he allegedly mismanaged state’s funds while in office.
They have asked him to return the money he reportedly stole between 2007 to 2015, when he was governor.
They also urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to probe Suswam.
