Boko Haram’s ‘Chief Butcher’ Nabbed In Bauchi

The Nigeria Police has disclosed that top member of Boko Haram, Mohammed Zakari, nicknamed ‘Chief Butcher’ has been apprehended in Borno State.

Mba noted Zakari is a native of Kaigamari Village, Daptchari in Darazo local government council of Bauchi State. The Police spokesman also disclosed that the suspect confessed to have recently slaughtered seven persons, including women and children.

Zakari was nabbed while fleeing from counter insurgency operation going on at Balmo Forest, Mba said.

“Findings as well as disclosures from the suspect will assist the Law enforcement agencies in tracking down some other members of the terror cell,” the statement said.
