How I Plan To Succeed In Music Industry–Afro Singer, Dihost

A new talent that has just taken the Nigerian entertainment industry by storm recently is no other than very intelligent, Diwa Godfrey aka Dihost. He is an indigene of Buyian Irruan, a community in Boki Local Government, Cross River State.

He attended Buyian Community Secondary School, and he is right now a part time undergraduate student of Biology at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).

Music for him started at age 15 when he started composing songs but there was nobody to help him. In 2009, Dihost relocated to Lagos for greener pastures. He got his first job at Radisson Blu, Anchorage Hotel as a labour worker and he was retained in the organization from labour to assistant store keeper in 2012.

Professionally, Dihost began his music career early this year 2018 with two hot new singles to his credit. The tracks titled Thank You Jesus and Wahala Dey For Nigeria, a combination of Gospel and Afro Music are currently enjoying air play on some of the top radio stations in Nigeria.

While addressing the media in Lagos, the talented musician said, “the journey has not been that rosy but I give God all the glory. There are many discouragements all around, no motivation, but you need to keep pushing and that was what influenced my coming to Lagos State so as to work and achieve my dream.”

“Musically, the doors started opening when I met DJ Zegzy after my last Afro song. The challenge i suffered most was how to get a sponsor and you know what that means in Nigeria as a music act. I am at the moment in the studio recording another song that i am sure everyone will appreciate”, Dihost revealed.
