There is no doubt that divorce rate in Nigeria is becoming alarming to many people and the cause of this has been attributed to moral decadence in the country.

To many, civilisation has done the African culture more harm than good. They believe the Western world has corrupted children and youths through showbiz.

Talk about the razzmatazz industry in Nigeria, celebrities in the country now try to compete with their counterparts in the advance countries, especially in the USA.

Speaking about the rate of divorce in the country, former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, said the South East zone of Nigeria has low rate of divorce.

He explained the reason for this.

Hear him; “We have low rate of divorce cases in Igboland, because our men are too hardworking and prospective. No woman would want to leave a man who is well-doing in a marriage. No matter how bad you are, she will insist on building things with you, and hopefully along the way, things will get better.”
