Former US First Lady, Hilary Clinton, has officially been announced as flag-bearer of the Democratic Party for the November 2016 presidential election.
At the Democratic Party Convention held in Philadelphia on Tuesday night, Democrats voted the former US Secretary of State as the first woman nominated for president by a major political party.
The former New York Senator will now battle Republican candidate, Donald Trump at the November poll.
Clinton is expected to formally accept the nomination on Thursday night, before embarking on an intense fall campaign with polls showing her clash with Trump too close to call for now.
