Arik Air Staff Beat Passenger At Abuja Airport

According to reports, two employees of Arik Airline threw caution into the air on Sunday when they allegedly descended on a passenger at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.

It was said that the incident took place on Sunday morning.

According to reports, the airline members of staff beat up the man after complaining about the cancellation of his flight for the whole day.

It was said that the flight was cancelled by the airline due to scarcity of aviation fuel in the country, which has disturbed airlifting of passengers to their various destinations recently.

The man, who was travelling with his wife and children, had reportedly approached the Arik desk to get a boarding pass when he was told by a staff of the airline that ‘we have cancelled all the flights for today’.

When he sought to know why, the staff told him “Oga no disturb us. No be only you de travel.”

When he demanded for a refund of his money, two staff of the airline allegedly pounced on him and wrestled him to the ground while his wife and children watched helplessly.

At this point, passengers who were waiting for other airlines intervened and save the situation which had already degenerated to a free for all. It took the intervention of some security men who tried to calm down the situation.

When there was no end to the free for all, some soldiers were drafted into the hall to maintain calm.

Efforts by Aproko247 to reach management of the airline as at the time of writing this story were not successful.
