Lagos Holds Entrance Exams Into JSS1 Saturday

Placement test into Public Junior Secondary Schools in Lagos State for the 2016/2017 academic session will hold on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 255 designated centres across the State by 9am prompt.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Hassan Olufemi, disclosed that over one hundred and forty thousand (140,000) pupils from both public and registered private schools in the State will sit for the Placement Test Examination and successful candidates will be placed into the 349 Public Junior Secondary Schools across the State.

Hassan said candidates are expected to sit for the Pencil Paper Test at designated centres nearest to their homes and will be tested in both English and Mathematics only.

In the same vein, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Education, Adesina Odeyemi, has warned against examination malpractices, calling on parents and guardians to abide by laid down rules and regulations and stay away from the vicinity of examination halls.

He however urged them to prepare their children/wards for the examinations by making available all writing materials such as pencil, eraser, sharpener etc for the examinations and that they should ensure their children/wards get to their respective designated centres at 8am (ONE HOUR) before the commencement of the examinations on Saturday.
