Members of the terrorist group called Boko Haram have retaken Bosso town after an overnight clash with soldiers from Niger Republic and Nigeria.
This was disclosed to Reuters by the mayor of Bosso and a military source, who is privy to the development.
It would be recalled that the terrorist group first took the town near the Nigerian border on Friday in an attack which claimed 30 military personnel from Niger and two from Nigeria.
Nigerien troops had retaken the town by Saturday morning, the defense ministry said.
