As part of his efforts at putting Cross River State on the world map of movie production, the state governor, Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade, has incorporated Callywood.
He also appointed the popular Hollywood Meets Nollywood Cross River State-born filmmaker, Egor Efiok, to run it.
Egor is expected to use her wealth of experience to position the new body into world class and further make the state a hub of filmmakers across the world.
Not too long ago, Egor won an Award Of Excellence in Hollywood.
Her appointment by the governor has been hailed by many industry watchers as the right move based on her experience in the movie world.
Egor is well known for her sharp eye for talent and movie makers in Calabar are glad that the cheerful lady is back home to develop the industry.
Speaking on her appointment, Egor expressed her joy for returning home for the new job.
“I am here with some of my team from the UK and USA to help discover and make stars here in Cross River State,” she said.
