Ex-Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka, Returns To School

A former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has gone back to school to pursue a programme in Law.

Chidoka, who was a Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, before his appointment as Minister by former president Goodluck Jonathan, was among those matriculated by Baze University in Abuja on Saturday.

Baze University is a privately owned higher institution in Nigeria which provides university education to British standards in the country.

At the ceremony of the 7th matriculation of the school, Chidoka explained that his quest to seek more knowledge informed his decision to return to classes.

Chidoka was among the 341 students, whom took matriculation oath at the occasion.

On his decision to study in Nigeria and not abroad, he said it offers him the “opportunity to conserve Nigeria’s foreign exchange because I would have gone abroad to study as many people do, but for those of us who are thinking of how to make Nigeria a sustainable society, this is one of the ways we can sustain Nigeria by investing in our own country and committing to use the facilities in our own country.”
