Screening of the remaining 17 ministerial nominees, including former governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, will no longer hold on Thursday, October 15, 2015 (today) as earlier thought.
The exercise is now scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, according to information revealed on Thursday by the upper legislative arm of the National Assembly.
“Ladies and gentlemen, there will be no Ministerial Screening today. We will continue on Tuesday. We will tweet CVs of new nominees,” the Senate confirmed through a tweet on Thursday on its Twitter handle.
The Senate screened and confirmed 18 nominees on Tuesday and Wednesday as minister as required by the Nigeria law.
