The future they say is blurry without a dream but a dream in itself would also remain a mere illusion if it lacks the where-withal and action required to stir its actualisation.

The desire to find a bearing in the chasm between dream and action that would “mobilise national commitment to patriotism, leadership and values of the Nigerian dream- a most desirable nation to live in by December 2025,” constitutes the focal point of I Create Solution Initiative, an organisation that foresees a better Nigeria in which we all have a better future.

The team is composed of highly articulate professionals, media personalities and compatriots who carry a huge vision of birthing a new Nigeria borne out of an intellectual revolution in technology, business, politics and society development.

An epoch-making event was held recently at the popular Abdusalam Youth Centre in Tunga, Minna, Niger State as part of activities to celebrate Nigeria’s at 55 years of independence on October 1, 2015.

The occasion was a conglomeration of students, corps members, teachers, journalists, politicians, religious leaders, scholars and other professionals in various sectors of the economy with a view to
charting a new course for a new Nigeria.

Speaking at the occasion, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Niger State Governor, Jide Orintunsin urged youths to yearn for academic excellence.

Orintunsin shared the same view with the great philosopher, Charles M. Schweb who noted that “It may be in seemingly unimportant things that a man expresses his passion for perfection, yet they will count heavily in the long run.”

He urged Nigerian students to always “work towards actualising” their innate potentials which according to him, is the only way leave behind an enviable footprint.

At a session tagged ‘The Nigeria We Want,’ thematic areas-ranging from Agro-Economy, youth and politics, media for national advancement, religion: a blessing or a curse, gender equality, climate change and the future-were properly discussed.

Other interesting aspects of the programme included motivational talks, heroes just like you, the Nigeria we want, value infusion, exhibition of nation building projects and HIV/AIDs lecture by NYSC members, who later did free screening for the participants.

In an interview with CAMPUSLIFE, the President, I Create Solution Initiative, Faith Olaniran, revealed what the organisation is all about.

According to him, “I Create Solution Initiative is a generation that is empowered, motivated and stirred to operate with natural excellence.”

“We are transformational leaders transforming nations through value infusion and by creating a culture of selfless service and a lifestyle of leadership and excellence.

“Ultimately, we seek to build a coalition of individuals and organizations with new set of value systems for positive national transformation and also help to empower young Nigerians to be able deliver maximum impact through nation building projects,” he added.

In his words, every nation has three sets of people which include: the machineries, the missing in action and the missionaries.

He said, “You must be a solution provider and not a part of the problem to be solved. You must be a role model worth of emulation and be the best in all you do particularly the things you are particularly the things you are naturally good at. You must do the right thing at all times regardless of who is doing the wrong thing.”

“There is a space that today exists between the Nigerian that we have and the Nigeria that we want. You must find that space, fill it and run the race ahead,” he added.

Some students who attended the event recount their joy with CAMPUSLIFE. “I feel very happy to attend this event. I have actually learnt to be devoted to entrepreneurship and never to depend on anyone,” said an SSS3 student of Police Secondary School, Minna, Williams Idoko.

Another SS2 student of Redeemer’s College, Minna, Edwin Dominick said, “I feel great attending this event. Our government are not really helping youths to develop their potentials in Nigeria. With programmes like this and with the help of President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria will get it right.”
