The Nigerian Prisons Service, NPS, has debunked rumour that the alleged mastermind of the October 1, 2010 bomb attack in Abuja, Charles Okah, has died in their custody.
NPS, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its spokesperson, DCP Enobore Francis, stressed that Okah is hale and hearty.
Francis further said the younger brother of former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Henry Okah, who is already serving jail term in South Africa, is doing fine in their custody.
The statement described the death rumour as purely false.
On Tuesday, Okah had attempted to commit suicide at the venue of court proceeding.
