Suspected members of Boko Haram, on Tuesday, invaded the hometown of Nigeria’s new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai, burning down some houses, including the family home of the army general.

Reuters reported that Buratai was not in his hometown when the insurgents attacked.

He boasted that, “Since Boko Haram terrorists have refused peace (Zaman Lafiya), we will now force them to accept peace.
