A suit filed by the Federal Government of Nigeria, seeking the extradition of Senator Buruji Kashamu to the United States of America, USA, where he is wanted for drugs related offences, has been dismissed by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
The application was filed on behalf of the FG by the immediate past Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke, on May 28, 2015.
At the hearing on Wednesday, Justice Gabriel Kolawole held that he lacked jurisdiction to hear the matter. He then dismissed the suit.
Kashamu is in the National Assembly after getting the ticket to represent Ogun-East Senatorial District under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
