Troops Uncover Bomb Making Factory In Yobe

A bomb making factory in Yobe State has been discovered by troops. This discovery was made in Buni Yadi, a town under Gujba local government area of the state.

Members of the Nigerian Army recently enforced a cordon and search in the area after they chased out Boko Haram militants from Buni Yadi.

According to the Defense Headquarters, DHQ, Improvised Explosive Devices, IEDs, used by the terrorists to carru out their deadly attacks in the north were produced in the factory and a large quantity of IEDs, including those commonly used by suicide bombers, were recovered from the site.

It was revealed that the factory, located in a fertilizer company, has also converted some of the materials therein for production of all types of IEDs.

However, the military officers are still evacuating the materials which include a large quantity of suicide bomber vests from the facility to their base.

“It is believed that the heavy calibre bomb used in blowing up the bridge between Damaturu and Buni Yadi was produced in the factory,” DHQ said.
