Bloodbath Looms In Ogun As Amosun Ignores Warning

Ilese News Extra reports that the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun is desperate to commission a model school project in the state capital, Abeokuta, despite warnings by builders that the school building may collapse if some precautionary measures are not taken.

Governor Ibikunle Amosun is set to ignore advice from qualified builders constructing the rushed model school in Abeokuta that the building is not yet fit for purpose. The governor who is desperate to commission the model school following several failed promises and is certain to ignore warnings from the builders that the school may still be structurally unfit for use.

In a letter with Ilese News Extra signed by Mr Gilal on behalf of the contractors, the governor was told of the consequences of not keeping to the original building plan giving his instructions to rush the building to completion.

Me Gilal said several parts of the building remain structurally unfit to house humans and that the company will not be associated with a collapse building in what he described a ‘disaster waiting to happen’. Gilal went on to say that the shortcut approach belies professional standards and his company must not be held responsible should the building collapse on school students in the future.

Ilese News Extra have been handed vital documents to this effect and it is still uncertain why the governor is insistent on rushing through the school without regards to professional advice from the builders.
