The Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, has relieved Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi of his duties in the team and has announced the appointment of Shaibu Amodu as the Caretaker Coach of the Nigerian national football team.

Keshi, who has been out of contract since returning from the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, where the team was chased out of the competition in the second round by France, has been having difficult times with the NFF and some Nigerian football fans.
