Dunga Returns As Brazil Coach

Former captain of the Brazilian football team, Dunga, has been announced as the new coach of the soccer nation. The 1994 FIFA World Cup winner replaces Filipe Scolari, whose contract was not renewed after Brazil’s abysmal outing at the just concluded World Cup on home soil.

Dunga was named on Tuesday by Brazil’s football federation as new coach.

The new boss guided his country to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, where Brazil reached the quarter-final of the tournament. His first stint was from 2006 to 2010.

Brazil suffered its biggest defeat in a World Cup by losing 7-1 to Germany.
