A female suicide bomber, on Sunday, killed herself and a soldier at an army barracks in Gombe State. It was gathered that the bomber hugged the army officer, which resulted into the blast, killing the two of them and injuring other soldiers in the area. The bomber was said to have rode on a motorcycle to the quarter-guard of the 301 Battalion.
The incident scared those around the area as they ran to safety. Shops and other business centres which were opened at that time quickly closed.
Meanwhile, some of the injured soldiers at the quarter-guard were quickly rushed to the military hospital for treatment.
