Ibadan Lawmaker, Saheed Fijabi Disgraced By APC Members

Things seem not to be going in the right direction of the son of an Ibadan-based business mogul, Saheed Akinade Fijabi and his dream of returning to the House of Representatives, Abuja may crumble with the recent humiliation he reportedly got from members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at their local government congress held at Adebisi House, Idikan, in Ibadan North West local council area of the state.

It was gathered that trouble started, when Hon. Fijabi, who got to the venue shortly after the congress slated for 10am, had been concluded, and was given a microphone to address the audience.

According to our source, “as he was about to speak, the people were shouting no, no, no, we don’t want to hear anything from you, you are an ingrate, please leave.”

It was further gathered that all efforts by the leaders at the venue to prevail upon the aggrieved members to allow Hon. Fijabi to talk proved abortive as they insisted that he would not be allowed to talk.

The leaders included the Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basis Education Board (Oyo SUBEB), Dr Busari Adebisi, the Chairman of Oyo Government Transport Pool, Alhaji MKO Olaoye, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Political Matters, Mogaji Samuel Kolawole Ajadi, Caretaker Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Wasiu Olatubosun and Hon. Akeem Abimbola (Able).

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, informed us that Hon. Saheed Fijabi has not been enjoying cordial relationship with the leaders and elders in Ibadan South West/North West Federal Constituency.

Our source also alleged that Hon. Fijabi has not done anything meaningful for the people of his constituency since he got to Abuja, which is why his people were angry with him and shouted him down, when he wanted to speak with them.
