Van Gaal Picks Utd Job, Giggs To Assist

Manchester United has appointed Dutchman, Louis van Gaal, as their coach. Gaal replaces David Moyes, who was sacked in April after only 51 games in charge of the Old Trafford club.

The Dutch will begin work as United manager in July and would lead the English team to their pre-season, which kicks off on July 17, in the United States of America, USA.

The deal was reportedly signed to allow him focus on his present job as coach of the Dutch national team, which will be at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.

Also, Ryan Giggs was named Gaal’s assistant and both would be in charge of the Red Devils next season. United will play LA Galaxy in the Pasadena Rose Bowl, USA, on July 23 during their pre-season games.

Gaal. 62, has coached Ajax, winning the Champions league with the Dutch club in 1995 with players like Patrick Kluivert, Edwin van der Sar, Edgar Davids and Clarence Seedorf, Kanu Nwakwo, Finidi George and others.
