The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has sworn-in 19 new Commissioners to steer the ship of the state with him. The governor, at a ceremony held on Friday at the Government House in Akwa, the state capital, charged the new Commissioners to work hard to justify their respective positions.
He also warned them to be careful of how they discharge their duties, saying he would not hesitate to fire any erring member of his cabinet. Obiano further urged the new appointees to exhibit loyalty to his administration.
Furthermore, the governor called on the 19 Commissioners, as well as the newly appointed 10 Special Advisers, to live and abide by the oaths of allegiance and office which were administered on them.
The 29 members of Obiano’s cabinet were sworn in after the state House of Assembly confirmed them as required by law.
