Bolaji Esho
According to Showbizplusng, popular Lagos socialite, Bolaji Esho, has been arrested by police from the Security Intelligence Bureau, SIB, department of the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja, over an alleged N48 million fraud matter involving him.
He was reportedly nabbed on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his bar in Yaba area of the state. The police reportedly picked up Esho following a petition written to the SIB by a Malaysia-based Nigerian businessman, Samson Ajani, after Esho allegedly refused to complete a farm the petitioner contracted Esho to do for him.
Ajani claimed in the petition that he gave Esho the sum of N48 million to establish a farm for him in Epe, Lagos since 2012, but that the socialite has only erected a small fence on the land. He further claimed that all efforts to get Esho to complete the project or even return his millions were futile and that Esho has been threatening his life.
According to reports, Esho was disgraced as he was handcuffed like a criminal and whisked away by the security operatives. Reports further revealed that the Lagos State Police Command’s spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, is yet to speak on this development.
