Ice Prince Lights Up Arik Air Passengers, Airline Commended For Initiative

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 would for a long time remain in the memory of passengers on board a London flight from Lagos. It was a day a reputable airline operator in Africa, Arik Air, pulled a surprise on its passengers when it contracted the services Ice Prince and Buchi, both Nigeria artiste and comedian respectively, to put smiles in the faces of guests on board the Arik Air’s Flight W3101.

The two entertainers did not also disappoint as they made sure the over six hours journey looked like a 30-minute flight in the eyes of the excited passengers, who were still asking for more.

Coincidentally, a passenger on the flight, Grace Perkins, was marking her birthday same day and was highly honoured with a special birthday song by Ice Prince. Three other lucky passengers carted away with VIP tickets to attend a show by Ice Prince in London and they are; Clement Edoja, Oluwatimilehin Adeyeba and Tonia Ogbe.

There were lots of giveaways from Arik Air and Ice Prince including deluxe CDs, shirts and other promotional materials.

Commenting on the initiative, Arik Air’s Senior Vice President, Commercial, Siva Ramachandran, disclosed that, “this initiative shows that Arik Air understands the need of her esteemed guests and would continue to introduce ideas that will make passengers have fun while enjoying our promise of safety, comfort and reliability.

“With Arik Air now active on Social Media Channels like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Google plus, more surprises await guests as the fun continues online.”

Expressing their excitements, some of the passengers commended Arik Air for the laudable idea. They also expressed their delights in patronising the airline because of its safety and good customer relations.
 
Arik Air is one of the leading airline operators in Africa. The company has grown in its service delivery, which has been applauded by many stakeholders in the aviation sector.
