Edwin Clark's Son Regains Freedom

The kidnapped son of prominent Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark, Ebikeme, has been freed by his abductors. Ebikeme was released on Saturday night by those who kidnapped him.

He was abducted on Wednesday and ransom of N50 million was later demanded by his captors for his release. However, it was not confirmed as at press time if the money was eventually paid by the family to secure his freedom.

Ebikeme was picked up at Kiagbodo community in Bomadi in Delta State.

Confirming the release, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command, Tina Kalu, disclosed that the son of the former Minister was released Saturday midnight.

Edwin Clark is among the delegates at the ongoing National Conference in Abuja, which was set up by President Goodluck Jonathan.
