Nigerian governors, under the aegis of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, NGF, will on Monday, February 24, 2014, converge in Abuja to discuss the suspension of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, by President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday.
A statement issued on Friday by the Director General of NGF, Asishana Okauru, disclosed that the meeting would hold at the Rivers State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja, by 8pm.
It was also declared in the statement that the governors would discuss the implications of the sack on the Nigerian economy and also give their stand on the President’s action.
The gathering, according to the release, was called by the NGF Chairman, Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
Also to be discussed on Monday is the “dwindling revenue to [the 36] states” of the federation.
