Milan Appoints Seedorf As Coach

Italian football club, AC Milan, has named its former player, Clarence Seedorf, as coach. The former Dutch midfielder is to replace the recently sacked Massimo Allegri. Milan’s immediate boss was shown the way out of the club after a poor run of results, which left the prestigious club 30 points behind table toppers, Juventus.

Seedorf, confirming his appointment, said his time in Brazil with Botafogo has mentally prepared him for his new job.

“I want to thank everybody at Botafogo. This experience of the last year and a half has made me grow up a lot and will help me in my next step, as coach of Milan, who have hired me in a manner both elegant and correct,” said Seedorf.

“It has been a difficult decision, but I am satisfied with what I have achieved in my career. Here at Botafogo I am happy because I leave a team which has qualified for the Copa Libertadores. I leave an improved club, especially in terms of their mentality and team spirit,” the former Champions League winner told newsmen in Brazil.
