President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-appointment of Paul Orhii as the Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Federal Government, Anyim Pius Anyima, on Tuesday, in Abuja. According to the statement, the re-appointment of Orhii takes effect from January 13, 2014.
Similarly, the President, in the statement, also approved the re-appointment of Professor Francis Idachaba as the Chairman, Governing Board of the Nigerian Merit Award. This takes effect from December 29, 2013.
In a related development, Jonathan approved the appointment of three new members of the board and renewed the appointment of four members of the same board. They are Professor Ben Onaji, Professor John Enaohwo, Professor Etim Etim and Professor Garba Goja.
The new members include, Professor Tola Olufunla, Professor Laz Ekueme and Professor Andrew Nok.
